TO COME AWAKE FROM THE OCEAN OF IGNORANCE
To come awake from the Ocean Deeps
Too deep in the ocean of Ignorance, I was asleep.
Deep asleep, having no clue of what is and what is not – Me
The life I am, strives to move, but moving by the forces of the
currents
Shaking and shaping according to where the waves of life decide
Hitting from coast to coast, from shore to shore, the waves decide
But, series of sea bed volcanoes, to shake me into a dream
A lover, a break, a crushes, series of depressions, induce the need for alternative
To paint the possibility of waking up, that I might rise to see above the waves
So wave after wave it pushes as I dance in my sleep
A kiss, a heartbreak, a lover,
a bowl, a drink, a smoke I linger the dreamlands,
thinking I found yet it, yet the illusions only deepen
A school, a course, a job, a ride, yet I found it not,
The Deeper and deeper I went, the harder and harder it shook me, that to wake
But then he (The Master) appeared – Shambhoo!
A hit, a dent, and I got the hint, just a taste,
But a taste too good to ignore with a snooze
I set to pursue the rest of what, I know not,
but of what might be
A foot deep beyond the ocean floors
With roots deep in the core of the mother’s bosom
Branches higher above the earth
Of the surface beyond the clouds
Never choosing one above the other realms, so that I may be with all
From the warmth of the core, the breath of the breeze, and the coolness
of the beyond
Then I am, like I am not. To sit up, to gaze into the emptiness
Neither here nor there, being none, that I may be all,
To come awake, in bliss
To ride these waves of life
Shambho! Mahadev. To you I bow!!!
